Euroweb reports info on Tyra Banks, Prince, & Janet Jackson

Euroweb reports:

*Tyra Banks announces the exclusive release of "What About the Child," a new track from Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and UNICEF Ambassador India.Arie, to raise funds for children affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. India.Arie performed the previously unreleased single on the Dec. 7th episode of "The Tyra Banks Show." The live performance will be available for download as an audio track at www.tyrashow.com through a partnership with www.iAmplify.com throughout the holiday season. All proceeds from the track will benefit young hurricane victims through the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

*Universal will release Prince’s new album “3121” under a new deal to be discussed at a press conference Tuesday (Dec. 13) in Los Angeles.

*In the midst of high drama fueled by secret baby rumors and leaked sunbathing videos, Janet Jackson has kept busy in the confines of a recording studio with her longtime partners-in-crime Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis working on a new album that, according to Jam, is nearly complete.

He tells Billboad.com that the forthcoming follow-up to 2004’s “Damita Jo” will pay respect to Jackson’s breakthrough 1986 album, “Control.”
